The long felt need for establishing a college catering to the demands of the people of a vast area of Deogarh district was foliate is July 1992. A college committee comparing active, enthusiastic persons of status in the locality in trusted with the task of raising funds and meeting other requisite needs for starting a college was formed in the same year. The institution received Permission and Recognition from DHE, Odisha and affiliated to Sambalpur University from the session 1993-94 with 64 seats in +3 Arts. At personal the college has strength of 483 students in Arts & Science.
